This is the north-coast alternative, and the only tour on this site that lets you choose between the volcano and genuine off-road riding. One booking, two completely different mornings.

The Teide route leaves Puerto de la Cruz early to get ahead of the coach traffic, threads through the old town of La Orotava with its Canarian balconies and cobbles, and climbs the north side of the mountain into the national park. The North route stays lower, in the green Orotava Valley, and includes roughly 30 minutes on unpaved track — the part that most people picture when they book a quad and that the national park itself will never allow.

Both options come with a full safety briefing, a guide riding with the group, and a traditional Canarian snack at a viewpoint stop. Photos and video from the ride are sent to you afterwards at no extra cost, which several operators charge €30 for.

Puerto de la Cruz is a two-hour drive from the southern resorts, so this is the natural pick if you are staying in the north — Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Icod de los Vinos — rather than in Adeje or Los Cristianos.
